Concert Uniform Care

Students are fitted for their concert attire (tuxes for males and dresses for females) in late fall during class.  After all concert uniforms are issued, any uniforms that need alterations (hems) will be sent home with the student.  The tuxes and dresses will need to be hemmed to the student’s height, but the hems on the pants are not to be cut.  You CAN cut the hems on DRESSES ONLY.

These uniforms are BISD Property that need to be worn by multiple students over a long period of years, the material can NOT BE CUT for ANY PANTS or JACKET alterations.  You may have the hems cut on dresses only.

After the last concert of the year (early May) the uniforms will go home for dry cleaning and need to be returned as soon as possible.

If there is a financial hardship for the cost of alterations or dry cleaning, please let the director know and arrangements will be made for your student’s uniform.
